18.08.13: Hinter Zhangystobe (noch 140km Oskemen) bewundern wir nochmals die kasachische Steppe, zelten ganz spontan am frühen Nachmittag bevor wir ins nächste Abenteuer purzeln und betrachten die kleinen Wesen unseres Planeten (obwohl wir uns bei dem grünen Käfer nicht ganz sicher sind – wir haben ihn Alien Käfer getauft)
18th Aug 13: behind Zhangystobe (140km to Oskemen left) we admire the Kazach steppes again, spontaneously camp in the early afternoon before we jump into the next adventure and watch the little creatures of our planet (although we are not quite sure about the green bug – that’s why we called him Alien bug)

30.07.13: Auf dem Weg zurück entlang des Issyk-Köl nach Bishkek verkaufen viele Jurten Fisch.

27. – 29.07.13: Barskoon-Tamga Wanderung: 1. Bild: Im Barskoon Tal kurz vor dem ersten Pass, 2. Bild: in der Hochebene, 3. Bild: Aussicht vom 4000m-Pass zurück in die Hochebene, 4. Bild: kurz hinter dem zweiten Pass beim Abstieg ins Tamgatal liegt viel Schnee.

20.-22.07.13: Son Köl: Bild 1 + 2: Jurten und freilaufende Pferdeherden (die am Son Köl trinken), Bild 3: unsere Aussicht vom abendlichen Campingspot, Bild 4: Nomaden kommen beim Abstieg entgegen und möchten, dass wir ein Foto machen. Der zweite Reiter von links trägt den typisch kirgisischen Filzhut „Kalpak“.

13. + 14.07.13: Ala Archa südlich von Bishkek: Alex wandert mit 4 tschechischen Jungs aus dem Hostel während ich meinen leicht verletzten Fuß ausruhe. Bild 1: in der Nähe vom Base Camp. Bild 2: kurz vorm Gipfel des Ucitel. Der Gipfelname heißt übersetzt Lehrer und deutet auf die Hierarchie hin. Denn wir sind die Schüler des Berges, der im Vergleich zu den umliegenden Gipfeln relativ einfach zu besteigen ist. Immerhin ist er gut 4600m hoch. In Europa wäre das nicht so einfach.
13th + 14th Jul 13: Ala Archa trek South of Bishkek: Alex hikes with 4 Czech guys from the hostel while I have to repose my slightly injured foot. 1. picture: close to the base camp. 2. picture: shortly before the peak of Ucitel. The name of the peak means teacher and refers to the hierarchy. We are the students of the mountain which is relatively easy to climb in comparison to the surrounding peaks. But still it is 4600m high. In Europe this would be more difficult.
26.06. – 15.07.13: Bishkek: Bild 1: die süße neugeborene Katze in unserem Hostel, Bild 2: mit Maria und Zigor schlemmen wir verschiedene Kuchen sowie Himbeeren an Janas Geburtstag, Bild 3+4: ein Nachmittag im Kletterwald.

Bild 1+2: unsere Aussicht auf freilaufende Pferde vor schneebedeckten Bergen kurz hinter dem ersten Pass sowie unser Mittagspausenort; Bild 3: Radeln auf der Hochebene an vielen Jurten vorbei; Bild 4+5: unser Campingplatz direkt am Fluss.

22.06.13: Arslanbob: eine Wanderung bei Walnußwäldern: zu einem großen und zu einem kleinen Wasserfall. Viel beeindruckender waren jedoch die majestätischen Berge.

20.06.13: Unser Campingspot bei Jalal-Abad lag direkt neben Reisfeldern. So gab es viele Tiere, die Wasser mögen. Darunter dieser Schmetterling. Nachts bekamen wir ein lautstarkes Froschkonzert.
20th June 13: Our camping spot close to Jalal-Abad was right next to rice fields. So many animals who like water were there. Among them this butterfly. During the night we could enjoy a loud frog concert.
USBEKISTAN – UZBEKISTAN
13.06.13: Auf dem Weg zur kirgisischen Grenze werden wir von zwei jungen Uzbeken in einen Kleintransporter mitgenommen.

10.06.13: Fergana-Tal: Nach der Passüberquerung ins Fergana-Tal finden wir einen Mittagspausenplatz an einem Bergbach, es ist schön anzusehen, wie die Sonne hinter den Bergen untergeht.
10th Jun 13: Fergana valley: After crossing the pass into the Fergana valley we find a lunch break spot next to a mountain river; it is nice to watch how the sun sets behind the mountains.
06.+08.06.13: Hinter Samarkand: 1. Bild: unser „Zeltplatz“ unter freiem Himmel, 2. Bild: in Almalyk: als wir uns in einem Teehaus ausruhen, möchten viele Menschen Bilder mit uns machen. Dies ist eines davon. 3. + 4. Bild: Hinter Almalyk: nachmittags treffen wir vier russische Rennradler, die uns spontan für ein paar Kilometer begleiten, auf der Suche nach einem Campingspot beobachten wir Feldarbeiter in der Abendsonne.
06th + 08th Jun 13: Behind Samarkand: 1. picture: our „camping spot“ directly under the sky, 2. picture: in Almalyk: as we take a rest in a teahouse, many people want to take a picture with us. This is one of the results. 3. + 4. picture: behind Almalyk: during the afternoon we meet four Russian racing bikers who spontaneously join us for a couple kilometres, we watch field workers in the evening sun as we look out for a camping spot.
